Soul Surfer has strong opening weekend

Thanks in part to the great work of faith communities around the nation, the inspirational movie “Soul Surfer” had a very successful opening weekend last weekend. The movie surprised the movie industry by finishing the weekend with the second highest per-screen average of all movies playing. Overall, it was the No. 4 film in the country.

With a successful opening weekend now behind them, the hope is that the film will continue to be popular and with that success comes the hope that Hollywood will be open similar films in the future. We encourage you to help spur this on by heading to see it this weekend, whether for the first or the fifth time, and do your part to inspire future films about everyday Christian families living amazing lives.
