Drag Queen Exposes Underwear to Children at School-Sponsored Event in Sutton

Over Easter weekend, we got wind that something wild had gone on in Sutton. Pictures surfaced of what appeared to be a drag queen, dressed in a pink miniskirt with ruffly underwear exposed, standing on a table in the Sutton High School library, surrounded by students. While this certainly wasn’t the first kid-focused drag queen performance we had seen in Massachusetts, it was one of the most brazen. We had to find out what had happened in Sutton. We dove right in to get to the bottom (no pun intended) of who exactly Mr. Ruffle-Bottom was, and how exactly he ended up on a table in a school library. What we uncovered was a much deeper, darker, and more complex problem in Sutton, which you can read about in more detail in our Substack post.

The drag queen was part of an event called the Connections Conference, or ConCon, which was held at SHS on March 15 this year. According to the ConCon website: “The Connections Conference is a social justice event for high school and middle school students, teachers, and administrators where we explore issues of bias, privilege, and discrimination.” The website boasts that last year, ConCon had over 700 students, teachers, and school staff attend from schools all over New England.

ConCon is a large and impressively-organized event that has been going on for multiple years. But as we quickly discovered, this isn’t a good thing. ConCon is designed to push sexual confusion, critical race theory, and other disturbing agendas onto kids. It is a taxpayer-supported social justice warrior training camp where kids are indoctrinated from beginning to end with activist ideology. It’s thoroughly political and grossly inappropriate for impressionable students who aren’t old enough yet to discern the fact that under the guise of fighting bias, they are imbibing it at full strength. For more details on the web of activist groups and speakers involved in the event, including a middle-school-aged transgender activist, read our article here

Concerned residents spoke up about these issues at a recent Sutton School Committee meeting, and some of their powerful comments went viral on X

Apparently, the drag queen told the students in attendance at the event that “his breasts were freezing, but he didn’t use the word breast.” He also had the kids choose drag queen names, danced on the tables, and did cartwheels, exposing his underwear. One community member reported that, after speaking to the superintendent, she was informed that the drag queen had not been required to submit a CORI criminal background check to make sure he was safe to be around students.

The Superintendent brushed off these concerns in a district-wide email, even making the ridiculous argument that since kids are exposed to more inappropriate content on the internet, it’s okay to have sexualized drag performances in school. This is the type of justification that you would expect from a high school freshman, not from a highly paid administrator.

None of this is okay, and Sutton taxpayers have a right to raise their voices and hold the leaders at Sutton Public Schools accountable. We sincerely hope that they do.
