Awareness campaign targets pornography

Pornography is silently and secretly destroying men, women, and children.  It is a pandemic ruining lives, marriages and families. America’s “pornified” society has eroded the cultural norms to the point that even a major TV network, using the public airwaves, is planning a program with a known pornographer and exploiter of women. This destructive trend must end.

The War on Illegal Pornography Coalition, a group made up of nearly 110 national and local groups, has launched a four-week effort to educate the public on the harms of pornography. “Be Aware: PORN HARMS National Awareness Campaign” began on Monday, July 11, and concludes on Sunday, August 7. Each week focuses on a specific harm:

  • July 11-17: Pornography Addiction
  • July 18-24: Harms to Children
  • July 25-31: Links to Sex Trafficking
  • August 1-7: Violence Against Women

This campaign will reach tens of thousands of people, and includes well over 25 events during the month, from local rallies to webinars to live online conferences that can be viewed right on the website www.pornharms.com/beaware or on their Facebook page: http://on.fb.me/jkxMyO

We encourage you to take part in this campaign, and get your church involved as well. You can find out more information about this effort, download resources, check out events, and participate in webinars by visiting www.pornharms.com/beaware. It is time that we fight back against the great harm that pornography is doing to our marriages, our families and our culture.
