Action Alert! Defeat Physician Assisted Suicide Now!

The Physician Assisted Suicide bill has passed favorably out of the Senate Healthcare Finance Committee and is now before the Senate Ways and Means Committee.

The MASSterList reports that this is the earliest such a move has been made and is the first time since 2012 that the bill has made it out of the Senate Healthcare Finance Committee to the Senate Ways and Means Committee.

Please contact your legislators right away and ask them to vote NO!

In 2012, the voters of our Commonwealth rejected physician-assisted suicide in a state-wide referendum. In 2022, the Massachusetts Supreme Court refused to find a right to assisted suicide in our Constitution. Nevertheless, the pro-suicide lobby is again pushing HB2246/SB1331, “An Act relative to end of life options,” to legalize assisted suicide in Massachusetts.

We oppose this bill for these reasons:

Physician-assisted suicide invites abuse and creates a slippery slope toward devaluing life. Devaluing life for some means devaluing life for all. Physician-assisted suicide is never necessary and always ends a unique and valuable human life.

Take Action Now: Email or call your MA legislators and ask them to protect the most vulnerable among us and oppose this dangerous and degrading bill.

The Fight Isn’t Over: Burlington Survey Controversy Grows

Last week, we reported that Burlington Public Schools gave a sexually explicit survey to middle and high school students, including some as young as 6th grade. Massachusetts Lawmakers Dodge Vote to Protect Girls’ Sports

On Wednesday, the Massachusetts House of Representatives quietly passed a supplemental budget bill containing a common-sense provision to protect girls’ sports, but instead of standing on principle, lawmakers used a procedural sleight of hand to dodge the issue and avoid going on record. The provision, filed by Rep. John Gaskey, states that no

Spring Sports Are Back—So Is the DEI Pledge. Here’s What to Do.

With the spring sports season now in full swing, many Massachusetts parents are discovering that, despite recent efforts to dismantle diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, their children’s schools are still requiring athletes to sign a DEI pledge. Unfortunately, this isn’t a new issue. Back in late 2021, the Massachusetts Interscholastic
