Education Alternatives

Every day it seems there is another story exposing the indoctrination and sexualization of children in public education. MFI is working hard to protect school children across the Commonwealth by assisting groups of parents and church, supporting education alternatives for families exiting government schools. Three education options open to parents are homeschooling, church-based learning centers, and private schools.

Homeschooling

MFI understands that making the decision to homeschool can feel overwhelming. Below are some resources for homeschooling families to support them as they pursue this education alternative.

Church Based Learning Centers

A Church Based Learning Center is a service for homeschooling parents who desire homeschooling support for their children. Often hosted by churches, learning centers provide a place for homeschool students to go outside of the home during the school day to receive supplemental instruction from tutors on certain subjects, interact in a social environment with homeschool peers, and potentially participate in extracurricular activities as well. MFI routinely updates our list of church-based learning centers in Massachusetts. You can view the full list of locations below.

If you are a pastor or parent interested in starting a church-based learning center in your community, contact Michele Caronna at michele@mafamily.org.

Private Christian Schools

Parents can search for private Christian schools on the association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) or University Model websites. MFI has also compiled a list of schools that span the state. This is not a comprehensive list of every Christian school in MA, but it is provided to assist in searches.
