Unrestricted Late-Term Abortion Could Be Legalized in MA at Any Moment. Take Action Today

The 2026 Massachusetts legislative session is almost over, but there are several dangerous bills still on the table that could pass at any moment, including a radical abortion expansion bill.

H.2370/S.1563, “An Act prioritizing patient access to care,” pushed by extremist pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood, seeks to remove virtually all remaining protections in Massachusetts for unborn babies and their mothers.

Abortion is already on the rise in Massachusetts. As we have reported before, abortions in the Commonwealth doubled from 24,355 in 2023 to 49,450 abortions in 2024 – and if this radical abortion expansion bill passes, this number will continue to increase.

If passed, this bill would eliminate all limits on abortions after 24 weeks, allowing the killing of viable babies for any reason, or no reason at all. This bill would allow for the abortion of a healthy baby up until the moment of birth – codifying unrestricted access to late term abortion. This dangerous attempt to dehumanize the unborn will have deadly consequences if written into law  – and we must stand against it.

Additionally, H.2370/S.1563 would expand who can perform abortions beyond physicians to other licensed clinicians. This strips away an additional layer of medical oversight currently in state law, putting women at increased risk.

You can learn more about this bill in our brief here.

MFI stands for life from conception until natural death, so we oppose this bill in the strongest possible terms. We urge you to contact your legislator immediately, asking them to oppose H.2370/S.1563.

This bill could move at any time – take action now to stand for life!
