We’ve been telling you about the radical gender ideology that is saturating Massachusetts schools, especially in Lexington. From teaching a kindergarten student LGBTQ content despite a parental opt-out request, to refusing to opt a fifth grader out of objectionable sex education material, Lexington Public Schools (LPS) are a breeding ground for harmful gender theory.

Now, as Lexington prepares to undergo a nearly $700 million building project for a new high school, it seems that radical gender ideology has, once again, taken precedence over common sense.
In a recent letter, LPS Superintendent Julie Hackett expressed her wishes for “all-gender bathrooms” to be included in the building plans.

In the name of inclusivity, these “all-gender” bathrooms are intended to support the “religious and identity-based needs” of those in the LPS community. However, these “all-gender” bathrooms create an environment in which students must have blind faith that those of the opposite sex using the same restroom mean well. This negligence directly opens the door for predatory behavior towards young girls, while putting boys and girls alike in an uncomfortable situation where their privacy and unique needs are dismissed. School administrators know this, but are willing to sacrifice child safety on the altar of an absurd cultural trend to avoid being considered “out of touch.”
In the final draft of the building schematics for the high school, we noticed suggestions for “all-gender” locker rooms as well.

Not only does LPS see no issue with male and female students sharing a bathroom space, but they are disregarding the notable risks associated with male and female students sharing a locker room. In both situations, students are exposed and vulnerable – and they deserve a school administration that goes above and beyond to protect their privacy.
Regardless of whether a female student has the option to choose a female or “all-gender” restroom or locker room, these co-ed environments are objectively dangerous and illogical.
This lunacy must end. Lexington residents, we urge you to contact the Lexington School Committee, School Building Committee, and Superintendent to remind them that having separate bathrooms for male and female students, and keeping it that way, is critical to protecting the safety and privacy of young girls. This is not bigotry – it’s just common sense.
Nothing will change if you don’t speak up. Make your voice heard today!
Lexington Public Schools, we are watching. From violating parental opt-outs to exploring the possibility of a risk-filled bathroom and locker room situation, there is no shortage of poor decisions that must be corrected.
This is not an isolated phenomenon. Nashoba Regional High School’s (NRHS) building plans also feature “inclusive restrooms.”

Nashoba Regional has already broken ground on this project, but there may still be time for them to change their plans. If you are a resident of this school district, we encourage you to contact your school committee to inquire about this issue. You can find out more about their building project here. Parents, we encourage you to ask these important questions, and make it known that child safety must always come before ideology.
We know that mixing boys and girls in the same bathrooms and locker rooms is absurd, yet it is happening right here in Massachusetts. It’s more important than ever that local citizens speak up. We will continue to track this issue, but we need your help.
