URGENT ACTION NEEDED! Pornographic Schoolbook Bill Moving Forward to a Vote

November 10, 2025

We are alerting you about movement on one of the Pornographic Schoolbook Bills that MFI has fought to oppose, S.2696, deceptively titled “An Act Regarding Free Expression.” This bill was formerly S.2328.

Under the guise of preventing so-called “book banning,” radical legislators are trying to strip local school committees of their ability to protect children from pornographic and age-inappropriate materials in school libraries and classrooms.

This bill is scheduled for debate and a potential vote as early as this Thursday, November 13th, where it appears on the “Orders of the Day” in the Massachusetts Senate.

We cannot stay silent. Your voice is needed now to help stop this assault on parental rights and child protection.

Read our brief on these harmful bills to understand more of what is at stake.

If passed, this legislation would keep pornographic material on school shelves, strip away local authority, and punish schools that try to protect children from sexually explicit content.

This is not a distant threat — the Senate could act on this bill this week.

Now is the moment to speak up. Our lawmakers must hear from parents, grandparents, and citizens who care about protecting childhood innocence.

Take action today — tell your legislators to vote NO on S.2696.

Then help spread the word: share this alert on social media and encourage others to stand with you in protecting our kids and their schools.
