Yesterday, a federal court in Kentucky issued a ruling that struck down the Biden administration’s new Title IX rule in its entirety. As we previously reported, this new rule redefined “sex” in Title IX to include gender identity, forcing public schools and universities across the country to open bathrooms and locker rooms to students of the opposite sex, infringing on students’ free speech rights by requiring them to use “preferred pronouns” for transgender classmates and staff, and more. This is a massive victory for biological truth, girls’ privacy and safety, and free speech. While Massachusetts law already requires schools to comply with much of the gender madness contained in this now-defunct rule, victories like this at the federal level can create momentum that will help us turn the tide on this issue even here in the Commonwealth.
