Friend of the Court Briefs Filed in Liam Morrison’s “There are Only Two Genders” T-Shirt Case

We are continuing to fight for Liam Morrison, the courageous Middleborough student who was sent home from school for wearing his “There Are Only Two Genders” t-shirt. We recently told you that MFI, along with our friends at the Alliance Defending Freedom, filed a petition with the United States Supreme Court to hear Liam’s case and reverse the decisions of the court below. Now, dozens of allied organizations, including Parents Defending Education, the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, and 18 state attorneys general have filed friend-of-the court briefs asking the high court to do the same.

As the state AGs’ brief points out, “the First Circuit’s decision [in Liam’s case] undercuts one of the most important purposes of public education: forming civic virtues by pursuing truth— even when uncomfortable.”

We are thankful for the broad support that Liam is receiving from these allied organizations. Please continue to pray that the Supreme Court will hear his case and that we will walk away with a win for Liam!
