School Committee Members, We Want to Connect with YOU!

Are you a MA school committee member who wants to make positive change in your district? Do you want to pass conservative policies that honor parental rights, decrease political activism in the classroom, or protect the safety of girls in athletics?  Would you love to have an opportunity to speak to an attorney for free, get individualized strategy tips and support, gain access to free resources to help you better understand how to engage, or network with other like-minded MA school committee members?

If so, Massachusetts Family Institute can help!

MFI routinely offers support to school committee members who reach out to us with questions about policies, strategy, or for legal support. We will be expanding our efforts in 2025, including launching a designated website for school committee resources, but we wanted to share two resources that MA school committee members can access in the meantime.

  • Online School Board Academy from Family Policy Alliance
FPA offers an online, self-paced Academy, as well as a live version. The next session of the live version starts on January 14th, 2025. Scholarships are available. To learn more, click >>> HERE
  • School Boards for Academic Excellence’s Education, Policy and Training Summit (Orlando, FL)
In January 2025, SBAE will be hosting an in-person conference for school committee members. This includes many practical sessions that will be valuable to both new and seasoned members. Thanks to MFI’s affiliation with SBAE, MA school committee members who connect with MFI are eligible to attend this summit, as well as receive a discount to help defray a portion of the cost. To learn more about the summit, click >>> HERE

School committee members, for more information on these resources – or for support in other areas – contact MFI through this contact form. Let us know what district you represent along with anything else you want us to know, and be sure to leave a phone number and the best time to reach you.

Not on the school committee, but you know someone who is who might want to contact MFI? Send them this blog post!

Are there conservative-minded school committee members in your district who you think would appreciate a notification when we launch our school committee member resource website? If so, contact MFI through this contact form! Be sure to include their first and last name, email address, the name of the district they serve, and any other relevant information. We won’t tell them who requested the information on their behalf, and receiving our email won’t obligate them to contact MFI. All it will do is notify them of our resources, so if they can use our support, they will know where to find us.

At MFI, we respect and appreciate the efforts made by common-sense school committee members in MA. We are proud to come alongside them, and we look forward to being able to do even more for them in 2025.

Help us continue to defend faith, family, and freedom in the Commonwealth with a generous gift today.

MA Parents Sound the Alarm, Nation Takes Notice

Back in February, we told you about two new tools parents could use to push back against indoctrination and protect girls’ sports and spaces in Massachusetts public schools. Many concerned Bay State parents have already used the Massachusetts Liberty Legal Center’s Title IX Complaint Template and the Department of Education’s End

The Fight Isn’t Over: Burlington Survey Controversy Grows

Last week, we reported that Burlington Public Schools gave a sexually explicit survey to middle and high school students, including some as young as 6th grade. Even more troubling, several students whose parents had explicitly opted them out were still forced to take it. The survey included graphic content, asking questions

Massachusetts Lawmakers Dodge Vote to Protect Girls’ Sports

On Wednesday, the Massachusetts House of Representatives quietly passed a supplemental budget bill containing a common-sense provision to protect girls’ sports, but instead of standing on principle, lawmakers used a procedural sleight of hand to dodge the issue and avoid going on record. The provision, filed by Rep. John Gaskey, states that no

Spring Sports Are Back—So Is the DEI Pledge. Here’s What to Do.

With the spring sports season now in full swing, many Massachusetts parents are discovering that, despite recent efforts to dismantle diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, their children’s schools are still requiring athletes to sign a DEI pledge. Unfortunately, this isn’t a new issue. Back in late 2021, the Massachusetts Interscholastic
