Bathroom Bill Vote on Wednesday – Can you join us?

Friends of MFI,

The Massachusetts legislature is preparing to pass one of the worst pieces of legislation on Beacon Hill, the Transgender Bathroom andstate house no bathroom bill Locker room bill. It has already passed the State Senate, and the House will be voting on the Bathroom Bill this Wednesday, June 1st.

Even more discouraging is that the House voted just yesterday to limit debate to only one hour.  They want to eliminate the expectation of privacy in ALL bathrooms and locker rooms and won’t even allow thorough debate on it!  Not only are the liberals on Beacon Hill ignoring the voices of the people but they want to silence any legislator who opposes them as well.

We had a great turn out this past Tuesday, but we need even more of you to join us for the vote on Wednesday.  It will likely be our last chance to stop the bill.

When:  Wednesday, June 1st at 12:30pm (Debate scheduled to start at 1pm, but seating may be limited.)

Where: House of Representatives Gallery (4th floor), State House, Boston

Dress: Casual dress is fine, but wear BLUE and a lapel sticker that we will be passing out so legislators know where you stand.

You can find directions to the Boston Commons Parking Garage here. To help guide you to the House of Representatives Gallery on the 4th floor, there will be volunteers with stickers stationed throughout the State House.

In the mean time, please CALL your legislator, and tell them you oppose the “Gender Identity Public Accommodations Bill,” HB4343 (formerly HB4253).

Massachusetts Lawmakers Dodge Vote to Protect Girls’ Sports

On Wednesday, the Massachusetts House of Representatives quietly passed a supplemental budget bill containing a common-sense provision to protect girls’ sports, but instead of standing on principle, lawmakers used a procedural sleight of hand to dodge the issue and avoid going on record. The provision, filed by Rep. John Gaskey, states that no

Spring Sports Are Back—So Is the DEI Pledge. Here’s What to Do.

With the spring sports season now in full swing, many Massachusetts parents are discovering that, despite recent efforts to dismantle diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, their children’s schools are still requiring athletes to sign a DEI pledge.
