Same-sex couple challenging Prop 8 files for divorce

One of the same-sex couples who challenged California’s Prop 8 in court filed for divorce late last month, only weeks before a federal court ruled the ballot-approved law unconstitutional. Robin Tyler filed for divorce from Diane Olson on January 25. The couple was married at the Beverly Hills Courthouse in June 2008, during the short period that same-sex couples were allowed to marry in California. Six months after that marriage they joined with 13 other couples to file a lawsuit against Prop 8.
