Hundreds turn out to support repeal of same-sex “marriage” in NH

Hundreds of people rallied Tuesday outside the Statehouse in Concord, New Hampshire in support of repealing the state’s same-sex “marriage” law and replacing it with civil unions for any unmarried adults who are dependent on one another.  “We must vote to back marriage for our children,” said House Speaker William O’Brien at the rally. No date has yet been set for a vote on repeal in the House. Same-sex “marriage” was approved by the legislature in 2009, after the door was opened with passage of same-sex civil unions in 2007. The repeal bill would not affect the same-sex couples that have already married in the Granite State. Gov. Lynch, who signed the redefinition bill in to law, has vowed to veto any repeal, and it remains unclear whether the Republican-controlled legislature can muster enough votes to override a veto.
