Pick up your Choose Life plates

The Choose Life License Plate is a wonderful way to raise public awareness and much needed funding to support the positive choices of Life, Adoption and Safe Havens for unwanted pregnancies and newborns. Funds generated by Massachusetts’ Choose Life specialty license plate will assist women with the expenses of a full term pregnancy-such as medical bills, temporary housing, transportation, utility bills, food, maternity clothing, and similar expenses of infants. Funds will be distributed to qualified not-for-profit agencies within Massachusetts that do not counsel in or refer for abortion.

It took more than 7 years of dedicated work to get to this point, and MFI awarded Merry Nordeen a Citizenship Award at our 2009 Banquet for her tireless work to make the plates a reality. She was the one, along with numerous volunteers, who convinced people across the state to pre-order the plates with no knowledge of when the critical mass of pre-orders would be reached. There are now cars and trucks from Springfield to Boston sporting the plates and spreading the important message. If you have not ordered a plate, you do not need to – just stop by any registry office and get your plate.
